What does it actually do?
You place the balls on a 9-foot table, tell it the game, and it works out whether the rack runs out — then shows the whole sequence: which ball to pot next, into which pocket, the aim point on the object ball, the tip position to use, and where the cue ball has to finish for the next shot.
What do I get for free?
The first 4 shots of any runout, with no account and no payment. If the line is longer than that, the rest is hidden until you unlock it. You also get an honest answer when a rack does not run out at all.
What is a credit?
One credit unlocks one runout, in full. If you solve the same layout again later it is free — forever. A layout is identified by the exact positions of the balls, so nudging a ball by a hair does not count as a new one.
Do credits expire?
No. They sit on your account until you use them.
What are the assumptions behind the plan?
A 9-foot table (100" x 50" playing surface), any tip position you like, and a choice of three strokes — soft, medium and firm. The solver picks the stroke per shot to leave you a good angle on the next ball, aiming for around 30 degrees: dead straight leaves no route to play position, and too thin makes the pot hard. One-cushion banks and combinations are used when they are the better or only shot. Shots that would scratch or bump another ball are excluded, so a runout stays clean — caroms, kisses and masse are still out of scope. It is a deterministic calculation, not a physics simulation with randomness.
How accurate is it?
The cue-ball model is calibrated against known behaviour: a rolling ball leaves about 30 degrees off the tangent line at a 30-degree cut, draw fades with distance, and english sends the cue ball to opposite sides of a cushion. The engine has a self-test covering exactly those cases. Treat the plan as a strong practice tool rather than a guarantee — table speed, cloth and your stroke all matter.
Can I get a refund?
All sales are final — the credits are delivered to your account the moment the payment completes, and you can see exactly what you are buying for free before you pay. If something has gone wrong with a purchase, email [email protected] and we will sort it out.
Do I need an account?
Not to try it — you can set up a rack and see the first 4 shots straight away. You need to sign in with Google to buy credits, and that is the only way to sign in. We store your email address, your display name and your credit balance, and nothing else.
Can I delete my account?
Yes — there is a delete button in your account area. It closes the account immediately and your details are purged within 30 days.
Which games are supported?
9-ball, 10-ball and 8-ball. For 8-ball you can pick a group yourself or let it take whichever of solids or stripes runs out more cheaply.
Still deciding?
The free tier shows the first 4 shots of any runout with no account. Set up a rack and see what it does with it.
