Privacy policy
Last updated TODO(launch): set a real date. Questions: [email protected]
What we collect
- Your Google account ID, email address, display name and profile picture, when you sign in. We never see your Google password.
- Your credit balance and a record of credit movements, so a balance can always be explained.
- Purchases: what you bought, how much, when, and the PayPal order and payment identifiers. Card details are handled by PayPal and never reach our servers.
- Table layouts you solve or share, so a share link works and so re-opening a layout you have already paid for stays free.
- A session cookie, so you stay signed in. It is HTTP-only and SameSite=Lax.
- Your IP address, used only to rate-limit anonymous use of the solver and to keep the service up. These records are pruned within hours.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal data.
- We do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
- We do not use your data to train anything.
Who else is involved
- PayPal processes payments and holds the card data.
- Google provides the sign-in and hosts the profile picture we display.
- CloudFlare serves the site and sits in front of our servers.
- Our servers are hosted on Amazon Web Services.
How long we keep it
Account details are kept while the account is open. If you delete your account it is closed immediately and the personal details are purged within 30 days. Purchase records are kept longer where tax and accounting rules require it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. The account area has a delete button; for anything else, email [email protected]. If you are in the UK or the EU you also have the right to complain to your data protection regulator.
Cookies
We set two cookies of our own, neither of them for tracking: the session cookie that keeps you signed in, which is set only when you sign in, and a record of the choice you made about cookies on this site. There are no advertising or analytics cookies. Blocking the session cookie will not stop you using the free tier, but you will not be able to sign in. The cookies page sets out both in full and lets you change your choice.
